Details 
When you try to open an appointment with TB that has been forwarded by Outlook 2003 the same message with the same attachment is displayed again. So the user has no change to see the content of the appointment.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create an appointment in Outlook 2003
2. Rightclick this appointment and forward it (Outlook sends the appointment as attachment)
3. Try to open the received attachment with TB

Actual Results:
TB reopens the same message again and again.

Expected Results:  
TB should open the attachment and not the same message again.

I have the same problem. 
When ppl try to send me an appointment using outlook, I get a bunch of garbley goop. Ppl who use Outlook and Evolution are able to read the mail with no issues.
Thunderbird still has problems in handling of (nested) message/rfc822 part.
See dependency tree of meta bug 269826.
Some of them are already FIXED by latest-trunk but some are still in progress.
(Q1) Does your problem still remain in newest trunk nightly?
(Q2) Can you find DUP bug in the dependency tree?

I don't think the "again and again" part of this still exists.  And I do not see any open duplicates blocking bug 269826.
