i just downloaded both firefox 1.5 and deerpark (from which i am entering this bug report).  they both fail to actually "go" to my bookmark site, when i click on any link in my bookmark list.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open firefox/deer park
2.click on "bookmarks"
3.pick arbitrary link

Actual Results:  
bookmarks menu label stays highlighted but does not go to selected bookmark URL

Expected Results:  
it should have gone to the bookmarked site. if i open the bookmarks side tab, and click on a link from there, everything is fine (ie actually goes to the bookmarked URL)

Does this happen in firefox's safemode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

i started firefox in safe mode and it worked.  in fact, then i went back and tried it _not_ in safe mode and it still worked.   so i guess this is resolved, but i don't understand what happened; i had tried this half a dozen times before filing a bug report.  thanks very much, and sorry for your troubles.  happy holidays!
