User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20051010 Firefox/1.0.7 (Ubuntu package 1.0.7) Build Identifier: Firefox 1.5 english Firefox can "not find" a local .html file on my harddisk if it's name contains arabic characters. The same problem appears if a .html file without (!) arabic characters in the filename is located in a directory which contains arabic characters. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create a .html file and save it on the harddisk 2. rename the file that it contains arabic characters 3. open the file with Firefox Actual Results: "File not found" message appears Expected Results: open and display the file properly

Reporter, please update to firefox 1.5 if you can. this should resolve your problem. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 263570 ***
