I assume the 1.8 branch has not been released, since 1.5 is the current release?

Just verifying that this bug exists in v1.5 (the current release), and is rather annoying... if it's fixed in 1.8, that's good.

It may be dependent on the version of the OS; I'm running 10.3.9, but have not checked this under 10.4.
OK, to clarify... a variation of the original bug is still present in v1.5.

1. Go to about:config
2. RIGHT-click anywhere in the prefs window
3. Click back into the Filter field
4. Try to type

Expected result: Typing should show up...
Actual result: Nothing shows up.

It appears that it is RIGHT-clicking which causes the bug to manifest; left-clicking does not cause it (i.e. everything works fine after left clicks).

So... perhaps this is still present in v1.8 with the right-click?

(If the right-click would be nicely bound to a contextual menu, which is still missing, then this bug would likely go away. =) )
