320786 - Bookmarks and profile lost

Opened Firefox and it wanted me to create a new profile - saying my default profile was in use.  
The new profile did not have my usual bookmarks.  
Could not recapture the originals from bookmarks.html.  This only has the default Firefox bookmarks.

Upgraded to version 1.7 and but the bookmarks are gone !

Is there a backup file I can restore from ?

Expected Results:  
There should be a way to revert to the original profile or switch between them.
There should be backup bookmark files I can restore from.

That means that a hidden Firefox process still runs in the background and didn't close correctly.

Of course not, the Profile contains all user data and that includes bookmarks.
New Profile=new default Bookmarks

Did you try to run the old profile and/or did you look at the correct place (under documents and settings ) ?

You are using Firefox 1.0.7 and FF1.07 is old. Please upgarde to FF1.5

There is if you are using FF1.5

But that all doesn't matter because bugzilla is not for support.
Please use for example the mozillazine.org support Forums for enduser support.
