When adding a bookmark for the same page twice, instead of updating the existing bookmark, it adds a duplicate entry.

I don't know if this is a bug or by design but sometime's I like to know if I have already added a page to my bookmarks. And with Firefox you can't do that. If you add the exact same page to your bookmarks, it will just add another copy of the bookmark. This can eventually clutter your bookmarks with a bunch of dupes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just add any page to your bookmarks twice. 2. 3. Actual Results: There will NOT be a dialog asking you to overwrite the existing entry. Rather it will just added the same page twice. Expected Results: Have a dialog asking if you want to overwrite the existing entry. This makes it easier for users to know if they have already added a page to their bookmarks or not. And that way we don't have to go through our bookmarks deleting duplicate entries. None

(In reply to comment #2) > Please don't file duplicate bugs. > Ok I'm sorry! I looked through the bug list for bookmarks and didn't see it anywhere. You guys didn't have to send me 4 emails telling me not to post duplicates. And a simple thank you would have been nice. Don't worry I'll never post here again. I was just trying to help!

Sorry Jesse, I didn't mean to bombard you, I didn't know that 3 others sent you an email. People tend to be reactive when you file identical bugs (bug 321088, bug 321135). No harm meant, though.
