Thunderbird 1.5 RC1 and RC2 both seem to give random notifications of new mail in the local folder when there are no new messages.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch TB
2. Check your mail
3. Wait a few minutes, and you'll get a "Local folder has X new messages" notification.
4. Go to local folders and there will be no new messages in any of the folders (including junk and trash)

I have the same problem.
It is irritating, because the mail icon appears in the windows tray as well...

I am experiencing same thing in my SeaMonkey 1.1 Mail.

Reporter, does the issue still occur in the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies?

(1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported 2.0.0.x is 2.0.0.16)
