User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5

When trying to print a *SELECTION* of text/images on a webpage to a PDF with Adobe Acrobat 6.0, the images appear garbled and unviewable.

It works fine when the ENTIRE page is printed to PDF. It is only screwed up when a SELECTION of text/images is printed to PDF.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
This bug showed up with FF 1.5 on two different computers with two different versions of Adobe PDF writer 6.0.

This bug shows up on different web pages. IE6+ does NOT have this bug, nor does Opera, nor does FF 1.0.

To reproduce the effect, go to any web page with images and select some text and pictures.

Click FILE > PRINT.

Choose Adobe PDF from the "PRINTER" drop-down list (you need Adobe Acrobat 6.0 installed)

Select "SELECTION" from the "PRINT RANGE" options

Click PRINT. The Adobe dialog appears and ask you where you want to save the file. Choose a location and click "SAVE". The PDF will come up in a moment
Actual Results:
I already said the PDF doesn't show images. They are garbled and all gray/black. Look at the link I posted or try it yourself.

I will try to post the link here too--not sure what link format this buletin board takes:

Expected Results:
I believe FF 1.0 worked fine, just take the code from that and insert it into FF 1.6.

You can see from the picture that one window is FF 1.5, and the other is Adobe Acrobat displaying the selection from the web page that was printed to PDF.

The images on the website are fine, the ones on the PDF are messed up.
Images messed up when printed to PDF. Only problem when a SELECTION is printed, not the full page. Problem on different computers, on different websites, with different versions of Adobe PDF writer.

This works fine in IE6+, Opera2+, and FF1.0. FF1.5 is the culpret.
Duplicate of Core bug 312415?
This really looks like it is dupe of bug 312415. However, latrosicarius, please do report back if you can still see it for a trunk or recent alpha version!
