Reporter, could you please explain the problem a little further?
Is the problem as you read an email in your inbox all the text is white?
Are you sure the setting for displaying emails has not been changed?
Please check via - Tools -> Options -> Display -> Formatting.
What version of TB are you using?
Summary: Transferred message → Message Text turns white when receiving message

It's a mail in my inbox. Maybe, the problem it's no in my inbox, it's when I forward (transfert) my mail.
For look that with screenshots : http://florenx.os.free.fr/debian/viewtopic.php?t=12
It's my Internet site, no virus.
No settings for displaying emails has not been changed. The problem appeared following the last update of Thunderbird. Automatic update.
In : "Tools -> Options -> Display -> Formatting" -> No problem, text is black and background is white.
What is 'TB' ? ThunderBird ? My version is : version 1.5 (20051201).
Thanks.

Is the original message HTML or plain text?
Do you see the same problem if you turn off spell as you type?
Other than the French dictionary, do you have any extensions installed? If
so, try running the program in Safe Mode and check if the problem persists.
Summary: Message Text turns white when reading forwarded email. → Some text invisible when composing forwarded email.

I recieve message on 'original HTML', and I forward on 'text'.
Good ! When I turn off spell, problem is solved.
The problem is extension 'Spell-fr-FR.xpi'.
I have one more extension : 'Talkback'.

Confirming this because of a dupe; resummarizing.
This bug is reported as occurring with forwarded messages; the dupe sees a problem with draft messages.
That bug also says "The problem only seems to happen (but not sure) when a
line of text starts with a space."

Windows XP SP2, patches current as of 03/07/06
Thunderbird 1.5 (Build 20051201)
This happens (at random) when forwarding a message. Resizing the window or highlighting the invisible text restores the proper text colors.

I'm pretty sure this was fixed by the patch in bug 336679. If this is still happening in the latest nightlies, please reopen.
