Reproducible: Always
Component: Account Manager → Mail Window Front End
OS: Windows XP → All
QA Contact: account-manager
Hardware: PC → All
Version: unspecified → 1.5
given current account/profile/folder architecture, I doubt this makes sense. however, there are a few other virtual folder requests are also very ambitious. and Thunderbird is also getting more ambitious. thoughts?
Summary: Move cross-account search folders to top of pane → Move saved search cross-account search folders to top of pane
Version: 1.5 → unspecified
(3-1/2 years later. Did a search for suggesting something. This is close.) Makes perfect sense. The Universal (inbox) is itself a search across all accounts. Right-click Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc... click Properties, what do you see? "Edit Saved Search Properties for..." Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc. Should be able to save search in 'Universal folders' also... many searches are not relevant to individual account/local folders when searching across multiple accounts. Such as "Status is Starred" (across most accounts)... then we could put these important searches/messages at same level as Sent, Drafts, etc... rather than erroneously within an account or... local folders ...which is at the bottom = not convenient, when you've got many accounts. Actually I tried to repurpose one of the default universal folders, since the controls are there... it didn't "take". Probably too late for this suggestion now since TB has been back-burnered.
Oh well. original was 8 years ago. version way back. so sue me.
