User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727) Build Identifier: version 1.0.7 (20050923) I grew accoustomed to labeling incoming messages using filters for accounts, both IMAP and POP3 accounts, to make messages stand our and categorize them at the same time. This feature worked fine in version 1.0.5. When I installed Thunderbird 1.0.7 on a new computer, I had to discover that the MANUAL application of filters work differently from before and differently between IMAP and POP3 accounts. Here is what happens: To make messages from certain sources stand out, I used to apply a filter which labeled messages, e.g. as IMPORTANT. This used to work fine with both IMAP and POP3 accounts in version 1.0.5. In version 1.0.7 I cannont LABEL messages in IMAP accounts through MANUALLY EXECUTING filters anymore. It still works OK for POP3 accounts. Manually LABELLING messages still works fine in IMAP accounts (but not using filters run manually). The filter function, however, works fine for messages which arrive new in the IMAP account. Reproducible: Always This is not a mojor bug. It's more an inconveniance when working on IMAP accounts containing many messages.
it works in 1.5, I believe - 1.5rc2 is available now, and 1.5 final will be available in the new year.
