321590 - Install.rdf not created or not well formed when I downloaded new version of Firefox

I downloaded 1.5 version of Firefox and I get a window every time I click on desktop icon which tells me the install.rdf if not well formed or is missing. I don't know how to solve this problem. Also, at one point, the main page was taken over by every bookmark address and I had over 150 tabs open on my desktop. Totally scrambled my internet connection. I was able to resolve that problem though but not the install.rdf problem. I tried downloading new Mozilla thinking problem might be with Mozilla, but nothing happened. Thanks for your help.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on desktop icon for Mozilla Firefox
2.Window pops up with message
3.click OK and it goes away and Mozilla/Firefox starts

Actual Results:  
Nothing- I get the message each time

Please zip up and attach to this bug the extensions.cache, extensions.ini, and extensions.rdf from within your profile directory. Also include and files with a file extension of .xpi from within the extensions directory located in your profile directory.
