Firefox exits unexpectedly and without warning when clicking on a link.  This happens every time and does not cause the OS to report a problem, nor does it start Talkback.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click "MORE..." from the list at the URL provided
2. Click "New Theme" from the pop-up window


Actual Results:  
Browser exits.  Talkback doesn't start and OS does not report a problem.

Expected Results:  
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/ram/2006theme.asx loads

Firefox also doesn't warn about closing multiple tabs when it exits.  It just quits immediately.

Uncertain whether this will happen if the link itself is loaded in a browser window (without going through the pop-up menu).  I'll try that next and amend this bug report.

Indeed the browser also exits merely by entering the http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/ram/2006theme.asx link in the URL bar.

This *might* have something to do with ASX files being registered to be played by Videolan Client (www.videolan.org).  I'll check on that in a moment by turning ASX over to media player.

I am able to save the ASX file using IE and play it normally with media player.  Videolan seems to have some curious trouble with it but it eventually does play the file.

Confirmed that even with ASX files registered to be handled by Media Player, Firefox still exits when clicking on the link.

It is possible, however, to right click the link and "save link as" so perhaps the problem has something to do with the way Firefox handles ASX files using the Windows Media Player Plug-In Dynamic Link Library (File name: npdsplay.dll).

My WMP version is 10.00.00.3802.

Works fine. WMP loads with the Doctor Who Theme.
Can you retry in Firefox's safe mode or with a new profile?
