After starting Firefox, clicking on the "Go" menu makes Firefox consume 100% of CPU for about 10 seconds and do nothing else until the menu opens. Subsequent manipulation of that menu has no delays. If I start Firefox, click on each top level menu except "Go", RSS is 24M. Then I click on "Go", wait for the 10 seconds; after this RSS is 57M. My "Remember visited pages" is set to 180 days.

And I don't even ever use the Go menu, only accidentally access it sometimes.
