This is similar to 236512 but I use Windows ME. Have not been able to get mail from Thunderbird since 2005-12-19. I've un-installed and re-installed thunderbird. The POP and SMTP are correct.
Horror of horrors I had to use Outlook Express to retrieve the log-in password!
