Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051230 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005123023 WFM. Pasted this in the address bar: http://www.nu.nl:1234/ Received an "Unable to connect" message. Opened my firewall and clicked "Try again" and I saw that Firefox tried to establish a connection on port 1234.
If this is something different than you meant can you please provide an URL?
I am using a private URL incl a portnumber. Anyway what I see is that the port number is not diplayed in the address bar anymore. It may be a pure cosmetic thing afterall...
Weird for I really see the portnumber in the locationbar. Have you tried it in Firefox's safemode or with a new profile? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder
