It happens every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Creat a New e-mail
2.Begin typing in recipient's e-mail address

Actual Results:
Results in the Apple spinning wheel--does not stop
Expected Results:
Being able to type in the address.

Which vesion of OS X are you using? This is probably bug 313988 or bug 298502.
