Can you please try a nightly or more recent release. The 1.0.x branch is a bit old. In your steps to reproduce, you say you can't. Is this a mistype?

Is this a mistype? > no because we dont have root acces we are using nis client machines as normal users there is a nis server in our lab. and the problem of thunderbird comes to a few people in fedora core 4 if u can help me? please...............
Reporter, could you please test with the latest supported 2.0.0.x / trunk nightlies and see if the issue still occurs?
