when clicking on the icon of thunderbird the window just appers and it is killed automtaically.no process belong to thunderbird runs on ther system. this is from last few days.we

Can you please try a nightly or more recent release.  The 1.0.x branch is a bit old.

In your steps to reproduce, you say you can't.  Is this a mistype?

no because we dont have root acces
we are using nis client machines as normal users
there is a nis server in our lab.
and the problem of thunderbird comes to a few people in fedora core 4
if u can help me? please...............
