This should work specially if the option "Force links that open new windows to open in: a new tab" is enabled. Or maybe there should have another option to allow this behavior. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable option "Force links that open new windows to open in: a new tab". 2. Keep SHIFT pressed and right click any link Actual Results: The new page is opened in a new window. Expected Results: The new page should be opened in a new tab...

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20060104 Firefox/1.5 Ctrl+Click should open in e new tab, independant of the tab settings.
Shift+click opens a link in a new window; Ctrl+click opens a link in a new tab. Wontfix. I don't see a reason to break with every other browser (and older versions of Firefox), or to make the keyboard modifiers depend on tab-related prefs.
