Setting opacity < 1 on .statusbarpanel-icon in a .statusbar-menu-icon makes it so the menu doesn't appear when the icon is clicked on

If you set .statusbarpanel-icon's opacity to something lower than 1 in a statusbarpanel with a menu, clicking directly on the icon doesn't display the menu. Clicking in the space between the icon and the edge of the panel displays the menu just fine. visibility: hidden instead of opacity works fine too.
