RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 322613

Details

The scenario is this. Suppose a XForms author creates controls with single node binding, yet there is no instance element in the document. Also, not even a model element in the document. What should happen? According to Mark at formsPlayer, it should be possible to lazy author a model in a XForms document. And looking through the spec, I don't see anything that prevents this capability, though it is also not specifically mentioned anywhere that I can find, unlike lazy authoring an instance node which is spelled out in 4.2.2. Since it seems like a logical extension to lazy authoring, I vote that we add the functionality of lazy authoring a model if we go to lazy author an instance and there isn't a model in the XForms document.
