upgraded previous version of firefox on main computer,(this message is from laptop) once loaded and "finished" will not load and not visable. Click on icon, wait for maybe 10 seconds, hard drive lights up, hour glass mouse, then nothing visable. tried to reload/upgrade, screen said firefox running, ok to quit? yes, same message 2nd time, 2nd yes, then reinstalled 1.5 still nothing visible.  Need old version or fix on current on mail computer,thanks, ERich

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install upgrade to 1.5
2.wait
3.nothing visable

Actual Results:  
no firefox 1.5 on screen

Expected Results:  
new version of 1.5 firefox

loaded and be normal read to work

Does firefox.exe -profilemanager (if necessary, change shortcut to firefox for that) bring up a window?

No change, still nothing,
Tried to totally uninstall firefox 1.5, deleted
reinstalled from new download of 1.5, still nothing
downloaded usb version of firefox 1.5, works great but no bookmarks etc.
thanks for the assistance, more needed

uninstalled 1.5 version totally,
installed 1.0 from past 11/04
all works, everything
will remain on 1.0 for for seeable future

Moving over to the General since this is not specifically about the Sofware Update mechanism.

Does "uninstalled 1.5 version totally" mean you emptied C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox after uninstalling 1.5 ?

Used the Uninstall program from the explorer menu named uninstall.  Just clicked on the icon and let it do what was needed.  I was concerned that I loose my saved information.
Version 1.0 working well
