Using either Tools > Run Filters on Folder or clicking the "Run Now" button in the filter management dialog has absolutely no effect.

I've seen this on RC2 builds also.  Interestingly, for me, when using the "Run Now" button, it works with some filters and not others.

this worked for me in 1.5 but with a caveat. David, it looks like when you run filters on a folder, we run the ISP junk header filters. I don't think we should do that.

I wasn't able to reproduce justdave's problem. My filters all fired for me. But, we were adding the ISP junk mail filters to the list of filters we ran against the folder in the mail 3 pane. I added a check so we don't add temporary filters to the list of filters to apply to the folder. 

I also had a problem using the fiter list dialog because the string bundle from the folder picker overlay wasn't getting overlayed properly into the filter list dialog. Hence the stringbundleset change.

fixed trunk and branch. justdave, can you retest this issue on tomorrow's branch build and re-open the bug if run filters on folder still doesn't work for you? Thanks!

verified fixed for 1.8.1.3 using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070326 Thunderbird/2.0.0.0 ID:2007032620 (Thunderbird 2 RC1) - Run Filters work from all points.
