Problem sending PDF attachment with Yahoo mail. When the recipient tries to open it, message states "damaged file, can't be repaired". When I send the same file using IE there is no problem. This problem started when I switched to Firefox 1.5. Did not hobe this problem using a previous version of Firefox

Reproducible: Always

1.Log on to yahoo mail
2.compose e-mail and attach a pdf file

Error message when opening pdf file: "damaged file, can't be repaired."

Expected Results:
PDF file should open.

I sent numerous pdf files without problem, using a prvious version of Firefox.

Please note, I've been using Firefox since it was first introduced and I am very happy with it. Thank you.

PV(9/11/06) I could not reproduce the bug. I sent, using Yahoo mail as specified from a Windows computer and opened it up with my Windows XP Pro Dell Inspiron, as well as my Fedora Core5 Linux Dell B110. In both cases, the pdf arrived undamaged, and I could open it with no problem.

Running (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6)
Two WFMs and no response re: testing with new profile or firefox's safemode --> INCOMPLETE.
Reporter, if you still see this problem with Firefox 2 please reopen this bug. Thanks!

Are these all dupes of each other? Or perhaps related to another meta-bug?

Please read Bug 373621 Comment #5 and check mimeTypes.rdf content.
Is there multiple definitions or unexpected definition for ".pdf"?
