I tried 3 times to set up Thunderbird.  After the first time, I renamed the profile so that I got the option to copy the settings from Netscape and Mozilla (my current mail tool).  Each time after selecting this option, the spinning wheel appeared and then it crashed with an Apple problem report.  I went back to try to download a newer version with error reporting to Mozilla, but was unable to find one.  I will be glad to try again if you can give me a link to this version.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Rename old profile
2.Click on Thunderbird
3.Select the option to import settings, mail, etc from Netscape, Mozilla, etc
4.Crashed



Expected Results:  
I expected the Mozilla mail settings (and mail) to be imported as promised.

Could you install with talkback and get a talkback ID for the crash? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback A Mac crash log will work, too.

Attachment: Apple crash log when attempting to open Thunderbird for the first time

Apple crash log is attached when I attempted to open Thunderbird for the first time.  I selected the initial option to import settings, mail, etc. from Mozilla.  A second screen was displayed indicating what was being imported and then it crashed about 2 seconds later.
