User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Sometimes, the URL dropdown list only flashes for a moment when accessed by clicking the arrow on the right side of that combo box, and then disappears. You can then re-click on the arrow and the list generally stays visible. This pretty much always happens after initially loading an instance of Firefox, and usually goes away after it happens once. For what it's worth, www.google.com is my homepage (so is what is visible when this happens). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open FireFox. 2. Click and arrow on the right side of the URL dropdown combobox (don't hold button). 3. Watch the list come up, and then watch it quickly disappear.

The bug, as decribed, was reported as fixed in January 2006.... but it is still present. The drop-down history list might stay for a few days, or it might empty at random intervals. Reboot doesn't do it; the list has been seen to survive reboot, but some unknown action is causing the list to empty.
