please refer to the additional information below.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install the version 1.5 with default installation method on win2000 zh-cn
2.
3.

Actual Results:
the IMAP server refuse the connection attempts of the thunderbird, that means nothing can be shown in the in-box and sending email is impossible.

1. Before I always use thunderbird 1.0 zh-cn in win2000 zh-cn, the mail server is IMAP exchane server, most of functions are OK.
2. I upgrade to 1.5 zh-cn today, when I start the thunderbird, it pops up a dialog show:"the server refuse the connection" (it's my translation from Chinese).
3. uninstall the version 1.5 and re-install the version 1.0, everything is ok.
4. try install version 1.5 on a win98 system with default installation, and then start it, the receiving from IMAP server is ok.
5. back to win2000, re-install the version 1.5, but this time I select a new directory "mozilla_thunderbird" (under "c:\program files"), everything is OK.
Any chance the server happened to be temporarily down? Beause you have
1.5 w2k problem -> 1.0 win2k ok -> 1.0 win98 ok -> 1.5 ok (on other install dir)
