Maybe quickstart is enabled and active? Seamonkey is still running seen only in Taskmanager? Do you see a .lock entry in the directory?
(In reply to comment #1) > Maybe quickstart is enabled and active? Seamonkey is still running seen only in > Taskmanager? Do you see a .lock entry in the directory? > No entry was in Taskmanager nor a .lock entry in the directory. The file appears to be corrupt. Even after multiple scandisks the file is still bad.
If you haven't started SeaMonkey and you can't delete the file, there is a serious problem with your filesystem. And if you can't delete it manually, SeaMonkey probably can't re-initialize it.
Is this bug still a problem? It has been over a year since the user posted a comment (2006-01-17). Has the user tried to edit or delete the affected file/files in safe mode? If not, I suggest trying that. Please re-open this bug if the problem is still occurring.
