In Advanced | Cookies and Images, selecting to "Accept images that come from the
originating server only" will reject all images anyway.

Confirm using W95 20000318.
Using "If you need help assigning a particular imaging bug, we'll accept it in
ImageLib and reassign it for you." and assigning to ImageLib :-)

Currently selecting the accept images only from originating server doesn't seem
to do anything at all. I'm using winNT build 2000032210.

yeah, i can't get this to work, either. these are my steps to repro --but lemme
know if i misunderstood this bug!
1. open Prefs.
2. select the Adv > Cookies & Images category.
3. select the "Accept images that come from the originating server only"
4. exit Prefs by clicking OK.
5. go to the above URL, which has images from a different server (namely the ad
banner in the lower frame from ln.doublclick.net --am assuming the image is not
local to wired.com).
result: the images still load. able to reproduce this on
winNT [2000.03.23.09]
linux [2000.03.24.10]
mac [2000.03.24.10]
note: if the above URL is not a good example, pls do provide us with a better
one for this bug. thx!

Reassigning to myself since this is my code.
You guys are too fast. The feature has not yet been implemented so that's why it
doesn't seem to do anything. I just finished the coding and testing of it this
morning and am waiting for the tree to go green so I can check it in. Will mark
this bug as fixed just as soon as that happens.
The only thing that bothers me is the comment that the originating-serer pref is
causing all images to be rejected. That should never have happened. Let me
know if you see that behavior again, after I do my checkin.
Glad to see that people are discovering this feature and are playing with it.
Have you discovered yet how to block images from specific sites? ;-)

BTW, when I said that "this feature has not yet been implemented", I was
referring to the images-from-originating-server pref. The pref for
accepting-all-images, and rejecting-all-images has been implemented.
