But selecting from inside the iframe, and then going up outside of it doesn't work. Shift-clicking a selection works both ways though. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start selecting inside iframe 2. Move up outside of iframe Actual Results: Doesn't select outside of iframe. Expected Results: Should select outside of iframe.

Not exactly, it seems that Firefox doesn't allow selection into an iframe nor outside of an iframe at all anymore with v2. I don't know if that's expected results or what. I am testing with 22.214.171.124.

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. I retested with 3.6.3, and a new profile, and the results are the same as Comment #2. Parent Frame + iFrame selection is no longer allowed.
