Steps to reproduce

1. Help->Check for Updates
2. Download & Install Now
3. While download is occuring, click Help menu

Result

Hang browser.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060120 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2006012005
I see it in the 11 Jan nightly.
