make a file which hexdump is below:

C2E5 280A 2D39 392D C2D4

and load this file with Build ID 2000031905 on win98
will crash

i can open the attachment and the url with 2000031905 on win95 OSR2.
so the crash on win98 may be from some other environment dependent reason.

another win98, so maybe this is a rare case
(or my crashing win98 is broken).

yes.  Sounds like a corrupted OS.  Sending to international just to see if they 
can reproduce.

i tested with other 3 machines
(win98se(japanese), win98se(japanese), win98(japanese)),
but all loads ok, so i think my first machine(win98(japanese)) is corrupted.

# i must trace the crash sequence with debugger on the corrupted os to fix it?

on the same crashed os(win98 japanese)
