RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 388781

People

(Reporter: paul, Assigned: mscott)

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 1.5 (20051201)

I am not sure if this is fault of Thunderbird or the Imap-Server, but I tried to delete the folder with evolution and it worked.

If I try to delete any imap folder I get this Error message:
"The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: unsupported folder name: contains ill-formed base64 part.."

I tried it with three different folder names: "Trash" (the mail provider calls the trash-folder "Gelöscht" and I changed this in the prefs), "DRI" and "Test".

Then I deleted the Folder with the webinterface of my provider, seems ok. But the only way to delete the folder in thunderbird is to unsubscribe. He does not notice that the folder does not exist anymore. (Don't know if this is the preferred behaviour.)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.right-click on an imap folder
2.click "delete"

Actual Results:
Error message: "The current command did not succeed. The mail server responded: unsupported folder name: contains ill-formed base64 part.."

Expected Results:
Deleting the folder for thunderbird (unsubscribe) and the imap-folder online with all its mails and subfolders.

I think before 1.5 I had not those problems.
