If you forward as attachement a eml file with another attachment (for ex. test.txt), the recpient using TB 1.5 can't open or save text.txt if s/he has not the view inline of the attachments.
With the 1.0.7 version it doesn't happen. 
Tested on Linux and WinXP.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) compose a mail with an attachment (for ex. test.txt);
2) save as draft;
3) choose from option to forward the messages as attachments;
4) disable the view inline of attachments;
5) select the mail and choose "Forward";
6) save this second mail wherever you want;
7) select the second mail and click on icon of the eml attached;
8) from the new window try to open test.txt;

Actual Results:  
with TB 1.0.7 it works, but with TB 1.5 nothing happens. 
In JS console it's shown this error:

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... Expected Results:  
You should be able to open the attached file, as happens with TB 1.0.7

Notice that when you open the eml attached, in the attachments panel there is also the icon of the eml itself. Anyway this happens with every version of TB I tried.

I see this bug too.

Wrt bug report dupe-ness, I don't think this is a dupe of 206278 as that is strictly regarding images.  I think this would be a dupe of 320571, if that weren't a dupe of 203570 (which in my book equals a "HUH?").

TB also doesn't allow you to print the opened forwarded message (I mean: open the attached message and try to print it). 
If you try it opens the "Preparing" window but the printer dialog never pops up, you have to manually close the preparing window.

I hope someone else can confirm this behaviour. I think it can be associated with this bug.

(just a note: if you save the attached email to a file, in TB do File > Open saved message, then you can perform every action (view, print, save attachments) on the attached message)

this bug is well know ... you have to save the eml and then re-open it in tb to be able to open the attachement

--> Dup of bug 239685 which is a dup of bug 241212
--> related of bug 203570 which is landed on trunk and branch 1.8.1.x ... and not on 1.8.0.x ...

I've tested a nighlty builds of the coming soon Thunderbird 2.0 alpha 1 and it seems fixed

It's a dupe of bug 203570 only because the fix of 203570 also fixed bug 320571.
