If  Kmail is cofigured as standard-emailclient, each time I click on a mailto-link of a Website, Kmail will be opened correctly, but  
"M A I L T O: [e-mail]" is inserted in the adress-entry instread of just   
"[e-mail]". 
 
With Konqueror and Opera the email-adress is inserted correctly, so a debug of Kmail is excluded.

p.s. It is the same with firefox 1.5. I tried.

concerning your email you sent me last Friday:

I wrote into the URL-line of Firefox "about:config"  
I pushed RETURN 
in the appearing list I clicked the right mouse-button 
in the appearing context menu I clicked "new"  
in the next context menu I clicked  "string "  
in the appearing  dialog box I wrote "network.protocol-handler.app.mailto" 
I pushed RETURN 
in the next appearing dialog box I wrote "kmail" 
RETURN

You need to use "kmailservice" instead of "kmail", see e.g. this describtion:

So, this is not a Firefox bug -> resolving as INVALID.

Note that the auto-linkification in Bugzilla doesn't work correctly on the first link: You need to include the closing ')' into the URL.
