325003 - alt-0173 crashed browser multiple time by multiple people

it has only been tested at http://www.bluesfear.com/forums -- but its been tested by several members there.  Holding down alt and pressing 0173 will crash the browser.  We all tried it in a text box of some sort.  I thought it might be a google tool bar problem at first, but other people reproducing it dont have the google tool bar installed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click in a text box (maybe on bluesfear.com/forums
2. hold down alt and press 0173 
3. if for some random chance it DOESNT crash.. try again.. it will.. it does for me every time.

Actual Results:  
Browser hangs, eventually get the mozzilla crash thingy, and then the m$ "this program is not responding" pop up

Expected Results:  
an alt special character

multiple platforms, multiple people, multiple 3rd party plugs, all repeat it
