I usually open multiple tabs and some windows then I visiting some newspapers on Internet. My intention is to read the information an another day then I have more time. After some days, maybe 5-6 and I have opened 30 or more tabs firefox eats a lot of memory and makes my computer (P2, 456 MHz) very slow. I only got 256 MB and 1 GB swopfile. Firefox can use more then 200 MB after some days and if I close every window and tabs but one, firefox still use 200 MB. It all end then the system is very slow and firefox crash. Then firefox crash the memory is returned. Internet Explorer doesn’t react like this and eat up a lot of memory.
Can this be fixed by some one who knows how firefox handle memory?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a lot of tabs and windows
2. Leave it for 5-6 days
3. Firefox eats all memory and the crash and the return all memory
There are two problems with this bug report:
1) You're using an out-of-date version. Download Firefox 1.5 from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox

2) This is far too vague to do anything with. See http://dbaron.org/log/2006-01#d20060110 for more information.
