User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5

When you do a periodic AJAX call, and that call adds the same "var foo = bar;" in a javascript tag, the browser will crash.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to http://canvarticles.com/scene/ffx_crash
Actual Results:
Browser crashes, feedback agent appears

Expected Results:
Browser should either execute the page properly or raise a javascript error.

Marking as a security since a page that can crash a browser should not be widely spread around.
Could you give a Talkback ID?
Sorry, I submitted a scrash report via talk back under this same email, but it did not give me any sort of id.

Although, I have heard, though not confirmed it myself, that 1.5.0.1 does not crash on this page, so this bug may be moot.
From this address I see four crashes with the same stack:
TB14555494, TB14559871, TB14559875, TB14559877
I can confirm the 1.5 crash and that 1.5.0.1 doesn't.

This sounds like bug 320172
