With linux seamonkey trunk 20060131, if I enable sidebar auto-opening (browser.search.opensidebarsearchpanel), close the sidebar and use the "Search Web for" context menu to invoke a search, the search results come up in a new window but the sidebar opens in the current window. Currently, the sidebar /also/ opens in the new window due to bug 252802, but that's getting fixed shortly, so this will look even dumber.

Mac OsX same result: search causes sidebar to open. This is redundant, and sidebar search field is too small to properly enter information
