After severe prompting from Mozilla I finally found that I had to update to the latest version of Firefox. Having done this, I discovered that all the bookmarks from the older version had disappeared. Is there any way to recover them?

Reproducible: Always



Expected Results:  
Of course all the old bookmarks should have been imported, not deleted!
You could do a windows search for bookmarks.html (also in the hidden files).
If you doubleclick on the file you can inspect the bookmarks.
