Do you by "hyperlink icons" refer to a) the FORWARD, BACKWARD navigation icons of the navigation toolbar inherent to Fx b) images on the Amazon website which should provide navigation (as <img> tags in <html> environment) c) something else (like e.g. navigation defined by <link> tags.) Please state the problem more precisely and provide in case "a" a screenshot. Cheers ...

Hi Cigno Sorry I missed your comment 1. I'm afraid I don't know how to take a screen shot. I will try to describe in more detail. In Safari www.amazon.co.uk shows 'live' images of books. None of these appear on Firefox. In boththe titles of the books are 'live' and appear. In safari the top of the page shows a number of tabs and titling. In firefox there is nothing above the blue ribbon that begins: INTERNATIONAL - HOW TO ORDER - GIFT CERTIFICATES. I am afraid I can't download a Nightly at this time because I haven't got time to deal with any side-effects. The page warns my computer might explode! I hope this helps. What are your preferences for the menu Tools > Options > Content and the checkboxes Load images For the originating web site only and are any exceptions defined?
It seems virtually all images on that website originate from the server images-eu.amazon.com So if any image blocking (see preceding comment) occurs or any firewall/proxy or any extension blocks it - the observed could be the result...
This is a mass search for bugs that are in the Firefox General component, are UNCO, and have not been changed for 1000 days and have an unspecified version. Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the bug, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the resolution to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

No reply from reporter, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
