Hey.

I try to create my dad an local-"intranet" for his notebook.
To bring most funcionalty to Firefox and making some things easyer for him, I want to let em browse those folders with pdf-files he have links on his desktop with Fx. (So he doesn't need to use this annoying explorer-windows and cant make things wrong and also have an smarter way to jump on level up.)
For this solution it would be nice to have an (pref.js-)switch to use windows-system-icons on (local-)folders.
For an long-term-solution (IMHO) I think it also will be easyer for newbees to have system-icons on ftp-dirs as they havent fav-icons and with an standard installation of windows the registered file-extensions are cut-off, so the maybee doesnt know what file-extension stands for what. (But maybee the can see on the icons what file is for what.)
I'm pretty sure we use the native file picker dialogs, so we don't really have much control over this...
If I'm correct:
Change component to Core: Networking: FTP
Change OS and probably Platform to All.
Change Severity to Enhancement.
Definitely an "Enhancement", I don't know why it ended back up as a severity of "Normal". Serverity => Enhancement
Severity: normal → enhancement
Confirming as an enhancement.

I'm not sure if it belongs in the networking component. It's a UI issue...
