sometimes fixfox closes and when i try to reopen it ,it tells me its still open and i need to close it or restart my pc,,,i have to end up shutting down my pc and restarting it before i can use firefox again,,,its starting to happen more and more often,,,i tried the task manager window but it doesnt even show up there as being in use or open

OS: Win XP. Product: Firefox 1.5.03.

I have had the same problem. I used the task managed to find the process and finish it, but no Firefox process was opened. Then I reinstalled Firefox. It worked neither, so I deleted all the registry keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> MOZILLA and MOZILLA FIREFOX and reinstalled again, without any results. As this problem leaves users unable to use Firefox, I think it should be fixed properly.

I can't reproduce this in safe mode because, when i try to open the safe mode, the same error window appears.
It seems that, for the person who reported the bug, restarting works, but for me it doesn't: Firefox just crashed once and I haven't been able to open it again (read my previous post for more info). Maybe this is a different bug and i should have started another bug form; email me if this is the case.
