Currently Sun Beijing team is contributing solaris build to mozilla.org.
We provide four builds for one product.
Solaris 8/sparc
Solaris 8/i386
Solaris 10/sparc
Solaris 10/i386
We will do it for every firefox and thunderbird release.
So we want to use "--enable-official-branding" in these builds.

If you use the same configuration flags as the official Linux builds that we publish, that should be no problem at all.
I have attached the mozconfig files here.
For mozconfig file for solaris 10, it is almost the same as the linux official build. But for mozconfig file for solaris 8, it is different. For solaris 8 there is no XFT library so we can not enable gtk2 svg and canvas.

(I thought I replied to this -- maybe in email?)
The Solaris 10 build is fine, feel free to continue using --enable-official-branding.
The Solaris 8 build, though, can't use the Firefox name or other marks; SVG and Canvas are important pieces of Firefox 1.5, and a build without them is just simply not Firefox. You should not use --enable-official-branding here.
