User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060124 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060124 Firefox/1.5.0.1 When user has two or more operating systems on one machine with shared firefox profile downloading to a defined directory works only on one of these operating systems. I have set my download directory on Windows to D:\Downloading\Mozilla Firefox. When I switch to Linux and try to download something firefox doesn't even start downloading. I have to change download directory in preferences or right-click and "save link as". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Share profile between Windows and Linux 2. Set default download directory on either of systems 3. Switch to another system 4. Download something Actual Results: Firefox doesn't start downloading Expected Results: Firefox should remember download directories for different operating systems - that would solve the problem. I use dowload statusbar but it probably doesn't matter.
Complexity is the enemy.
