What's (obviously, at least to me) missing a way to add download by URL. At times URLs for files get on pages as plain text - w/o link. At moment downloading such files is tedious process. (Actually I do not know any other way other then firing terminal and invoking wget/curl) Proposed solition: "Add" button in download manager which would invoke dialog similar to good old Mozilla's "Open Location" dialog. User then can copy'n'paste the URL to the input field and press "Ok" to add the download. I hope, from devels pov, this is minor GUI tweak. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Uhm... Can DM (Download Manager) look into text being drag'n'gropped into it? Not that I am fun of dran'n'drop - but in this case if its easier to teach DM to check droppped text for URL(s) - that would be sufficient too. (The problem with D'n'D is that drop target isn't always visible - copy'n'pase and button click are much easier/cleaner from UI pov) Anyway, my report looks like dup of 191094/200267, of course if they can be expanded to cover Ff/Camino too. Thou I see no way how to say that it's cross-product tweak. P.S. Can that be solved in Ff by extension?
