Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1
The user should be able to copy and paste URIs, whatever and wherever.
However script-kidies try to stop this being easy, and requently one can't right click or ctrl-click to copy URIs.
This enhancement request would ensure that copy URI was always available
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open URI
2. tab or mouseover link
3. right click or ctrl-click to copy any link
Actual Results:
copy disabled, dialogue not displayed
Expected Results:
dialogue should present opportunity to copy URI

You can enable the context menus in Tools > Options > Contents > Javascript > Advanced

Confirming, once you stop javascript from being able to disable context menus you should have no problems.

Should the default be the other way around? ie:
deselect: preferences, enable javascript, advanced, disable context menus
Is there a good reason why one should want author scripts to be able to disable context menus, ie not just to disable them in the browser or user agent...
and even if there is, is it really sufficiently important to warrant this default behaviour?
thanks for your help already ~:"
