User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:18.104.22.168) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/22.214.171.124 Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 1.5 (20051201) Under one profile, mail message images display as set up in options. Under another profile, they won't display no matter what option are selected. When the "Show Images" button is clicked, Thunderbird appears to be downloading the images, but no internet activity occurs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open an email with images. 2. Click on the "Show Images" button. Actual Results: The message appears exactly the same as before the button was clicked. Expected Results: The images should have been downloaded and displayed. What makes it odd is that under another profile, everything works as expected. I checked option differences between the two profiles and couldn't find any differences in the display options.
This must be a problem due to corruption of the profile. It works fine for me (Thunderbird 1.5, Ubuntu Linux)
I'm having the same problem lately. Images don't display after selecting "Display Images". I am using 3a1 20060531 but it has been like this for several builds. I'm not sure how this relates to 1.5 since it is only a recent issue for me.
I should also say I only use a single profile.
Mark, does this problem persist in a new profile?
I too have noticed this for the last severfal builds (perhaps the last week or so?) Currently using 3a1 (20060611) I have a named profile, a default profile, as well as a test profile.. The issue persists in all profiles.. i.e. I do not get images appearing on any of them. (I even went as far as deleting the test profile, and deleting it's associated files) then re-created it and still have the same result. OTOH Using the latest? Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.13) Gecko/20060414 I am able to display the same emails w/images.
Ray and Mark, you're probably actually experiencing bug #339410. ;-)
(In reply to comment #6) > Ray and Mark, you're probably actually experiencing bug #339410. ;-) > Keeping my fingers corssed.. I think that changing defaukt.images.all from 2 to 1 works (and I updated to today's latest build avail via auto-update and it still works :-)! Per info in bug #339410 Thanks!
Reporter, does the issue still occur in the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies? (1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported 2.0.0.x is now 126.96.36.199)
