Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to select multiple bookmarks. 2. 3.
I expect Places-enabled builds will allow this (due in firefox 2.0)
Thanks, Steve.
I are you talking about the bookmarks sidebar? If so then this bug is dupe of Bug 251796.
I don't think it is, Kevin, as clicking shift has nothing to do with it, as far as I know. In Internet Explorer and the Mac finder, you just depress the mouse, which selects one item, and then keep it depressed while you select other items, either above or below the first item. It's kind of like selecting text for a copy and paste.
Is this bug about the sidebar or the bookmarks manager? If it is about the bookmarks sidebar then it is a dupe of the bug I mentioned above. The deveopers do not want mutiple item selection to work in the sidebar.
I am talking about the bookmark manager, not the sidebar. Sorry for the confusion.
I believe this is referring to "Organize Bookmarks" which can be reached from the menu bar by selecting Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks. There may be other navigational methods to reach the bookmark manager that I am not aware of. You can select multiple bookmarks using two methods. First, you can hold down ctrl and individually select bookmarks. Second, you can select a contiguous block of bookmarks, by selecting the first bookmark in the list, then hold down shift while selecting the last bookmark in the list. However, if you then try to do anything with multiple bookmarks selected, nothing happens.
this is WFM on current trunk Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20081215 Minefield/3.2a1pre

Sorry for not clarifying sooner. I never received notification of an update. Yes this was from the BookMarks manager. And yes this appears to be fixed now. Works for me now.
