Windows Task Manager reports that it's "not responding" so I have to kill the application. Not sure if this is related to Bug #313597. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox 184.108.40.206 2. Pulldown Bookmark menu 3. Mouseover any item, and FF hangs Actual Results: The Firefox application is frozen. Windows Task Manager reports that it's "not responding." It never comes back. Expected Results: I expect to be able to drilldown through my bookmarks (folders, subfolders, etc.) per the usual menu functionality. I'm using the "Black Japan" 1.15 theme. Beyond that, I don't have any special configs on my laptop.
Please retest in Firefox's safemode. This to rule out extension or theme problems. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox)
Thanks much for the quick response. I started FF in Safe Mode. Then I moused-over the Bookmark menu and it froze again ("not responding"). This time I was more patient and waited for a little while (~ 2 mins) and FF came back, and I am able to mouseover and use the Bookmark menu without a problem. (For now anyhow.) I will work in Safe Mode for a while, and then later, I'll try it with my extensions and be more patient and see if that works. Hopefully, the freeze is a one-time thing. I'll set this Bug to WORKSFORME now, unless you think otherwise. Thanks much! And yes, Firefox rocks!
